Paleontological Society Centennial Celebration at the Houston GSA meeting October 4th-9th, 2008!

We will have exciting and fun events throughout the GSA meeting week!

Saturday, October 4th

Centennial Short Course, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

PS Centennial Reception and Dinner, 6:30 PM
Paleontology Hall, Houston Museum of Natural Science
Tickets available through GSA Registration (subsidy for students)
Sit down dinner, raffles, giveaways, live entertainment, and more!

Attire will be dressy casual (jacket or collared shirt and tie for men, skirt or dressy pants for women).

Pardee Keynote Symposium, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Breakthroughs in Paleontology
Organized by Jere Lipps and J. William Schopf
George Brown Convention Center

PS Awards Ceremony and Reception, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Location TBA

Join us throughout the week at the double-sized Paleontological Society Booth featuring a photographic look at 100 years of the Society’s activities, Society Publications, and Centennial treats. Susan Butts and John Pojeta are putting together the booth. If you have any photos that you think should be included be sure to send them to Susan Butts (info below). digital or print OK.
Keep an eye out for a particularly robust and superb group of paleo technical sessions this year.
