Archives Coordinator: Daniel B. Blake, Liaison to University of Illinois Archives (term indet.) Appointed by President; created by act of council 04/96.
Auditing Committee: Marcus M. Key, Jr., Chair, and Dale A. Springer. At each Annual Meeting the President shall appoint two members, not members of Council, to serve as auditors. See Chapter 9, §1(4) of By-Laws.
Best Paper Journal of Paleontology Committee: Jonathan Adrain, Christopher A. Brochu, and Ann F. Budd (ex officio, to 12/06); members appointed by the Editors. Editors not voting members, by tradition.
By-Laws Revision Committee: Roger D. K. Thomas (ex officio, to 10/06). Activated on occasion, as the need arises. Appointment of other members by the President.
Distinguished Lecture Series Coordinator: Anne Raymond (to 10/06) Intent of Council 05/95 was to have Councilor-At-Large Unrestricted would be the Coordinator.

Chair is elected, committee members appointed by the Chair.
Financial Management and Investments Committee: Mark E. Patzkowsky, Chair(ex officio), David J. Bottjer, Derek E. G. Briggs, Roger D. K. Thomas ( all ex officio). Chair by virtue of Office of Treasurer, three additional members (President, President-Elect, and Secretary) by virtue of their offices. Membership Committee: Lisa E. Park, Chair (ex officio, to 10/05). To be chaired by the Councilor-at-Large, under 40. Members appointed by the Chair. See Article III, §7 of the Constitution.

PALSIRP-Sepkoski Committee (Paleontological Society International Research Program): Ronald L. Parsley, Chair (to 10/06), Colin Sumrall (to 10/06) and Michael Kowalewski (to 10/05). Created by Council 4/94 to support paleontological research in countries of the former Soviet Union and eastern bloc. Chair appointed by the President with approval of Council. Members appointed by the Chair.
Program Coordinator: Mark A. Wilson (to 10/06); Main function is to coordinate the development of Short Courses, Topical Sessions, and other aspects of the program for the Annual Meeting. See Article III, §9 of the Constitution.
Schuchert Award Committee: William A. Ausich, Chair (ex officio, to 10/06), Charles R. Marshall (to 10/05), Lucy E. Edwards (to 10/05), Scott L. Wing (to 10/06), James O. Farlow (to 10/06), Peter M. Second Century Development Committee: Thomas W. Kammer (Chair), Patricia H. Kelley and Steven M. Stanley.
Stephen J. Gould Student Grants Committee: John Groves, Chair (to 10/05), Tamra Schiappa, Anne L. Raymond and Timothy B. Rowe. Chair appointed by President. Chair appoints committee members with approval of Council, in accord with the enabling motion. Terms of service undefined.
Strimple Award Committee: Derek E. G. Briggs, Chair (ex officio, to 10/06). Chaired by President-Elect, who appoints two additional members. See Chapter 14 of By-Laws.
World-Wide Web Manager: Roger D. K. Thomas. Responsible for maintenance of the Paleontological Society's website and all appropriate linkages, including the on-line membership renewal and subscription pages supported by Allen Marketing & Management.
