North American Paleontological Convention Information:

The 9th North American Paleontological Convention (NAPC) was held on the campus of the University of Cincinnati, June 21-26, 2009. The centrally-located Cincinnati region is world renowned for its Upper Ordovician fossils and strata, and has a long-established heritage of paleontological research and teaching. Full details can be found at the meeting website: http://www.napc2009.org/.

Teaching Paleontology in the 21st Century Information:

Teaching Paleontology in the 21st Century - July 30 - Aug 3, 2009; Cornell University and the Paleontological Research Institution. An exciting collaborative effort focused on enhancing the teaching of paleontology at the undergraduate level. This workshop brought together college and university faculty who teach paleontology to explore a wide variety of topics related to teaching paleontology effectively both in paleontology courses and as parts of other courses taught in the geoscience curriculum.
