The National Academy of Sciences’ Daniel Giraud Elliot Medal is awarded “In recognition of a most meritorious, recently published work in zoology or paleontology.” The most recent recipients have been Jennifer A. Clack (2008) and Jonathan B. Losos (2012).
We are writing to ask for your help to identify outstanding candidates for the 2018 Elliot Medal, which will recognize work published no earlier than 2012, and is to be presented with a $20,000 prize.

Nominations will be open through Monday, October 2, 2017; neither nominator nor recipient need be members of the National Academy.
