We want to extend a warm welcome to our incredible team of social media coordinators!
These brilliant social media wizards and paleontologists are the faces behind our quality content. We aim to provide to our members of the Paleontological Society the latest news and greatest developments in our shared field of paleontology. Join us in officially welcoming them!
Dr. Jennifer (Jen) Bauer is a Research Museum Collection Manager at the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology where she manages their invertebrate paleontology collection. Her research focus is on understanding the morphology, evolution, distribution, and diversity of Paleozoic echinoderms – specifically the Blastoidea. Outside of her research she is active in educational outreach both through in-person events and through an educational blog she co-founded, called Time Scavengers.
Samantha (Sam) Ocon is an undergraduate researcher and social media intern at the Florida Museum of Natural History. She has previously worked on foraminifera and fossil arthropods and she hopes to continue that research in the future. Sam also has participated in many public outreach events and has presented research on digital science communication.
Chelsea Moreno earned her B.A. from California State University – Fullerton in public relations with a minor in natural sciences. Her passion for museum outreach and science communication has led her to her current roles as a Museum Assistant at the Wells Fargo Museum in Los Angeles and as an Outreach Assistant at the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology in Claremont, CA.
