JOB TITLE: Researcher, Paleontological Research and Education Center (PRC), Mahasarakham University, Thailand

Our main aim is to be the main paleontological center in SE Asia. PRC is seeking a PhD holder, positive, self-motivated with considerable experienced paleontologist to support our expansion on both research and museum sections. Early career paleontologists with good records of research and publication in the field of paleontology are invited. Research in any aspect of paleontology will be considered. The main role of the job includes research planning for field work and laboratory testing and manuscript preparation. The researcher will be expected to conduct independent research. Preparation of materials/data for international grant proposals is necessary for research project besides limited seed funding from the institute. As Thailand is the country with high abundance and diverse fossils starting from upper Cambrian, research involving the Thai fossils are the main focus. The researcher also needs to support for students, lecture and service for the industry and tourism sector.
The position is a contract (1 year) which can be continued on a year-by-year basis. Salary is depending on experience. A basic healthcare and university accommodation service are provided.
